ISAAC MIZRAHI COLLABORATES WITH PROPER ATTIRE® TO CREATE A NEW DESIGN ICON

This Tuesday, launching with a cocktail party at the Soho Grand Hotel, PROPER ATTIRE® condoms and Isaac Mizrahi collaborate to create a new iconic design partnership. Injecting his signature joie de vivre into his designs for PROPER ATTIRE®, Isaac proves that safe sex is always in style.

Utilizing his signature pretty prints to wrap his limited edition packaging for PROPER ATTIRE®, Isaac’s designs include oversized polka dots, pink and white gingham, and a floral print. With sales benefitting charitable organization Planned Parenthood Federation of America, safe sex has never been so stylish. PROPER ATTIRE® condoms by Isaac Mizrahi will be available at ProperAttireCondoms.com, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and MOCA.org.

Mizrahi says on his decision to collaborate with PROPER ATTIRE®, “I am so excited to collaborate with Planned Parenthood on this exclusive line of condoms for Proper Attire. Protected sex is one of the most important issues in a woman’s life and to bring style and whimsy to it is a great opportunity for me. Between gingham dot and floral, the right to choose is everything.”

Rachel Molloy, director of branded products at PROPER ATTIRE®, says, “Isaac Mizrahi is an international design icon, and we are so excited to work with him this season. His beautiful designs for PROPER ATTIRE® are sure to be a hit with his fans worldwide.”

Isaac Mizrahi has been a leader in the fashion industry for almost 30 years. Since his first collection in 1987, Mr. Mizrahi’s designs have come to stand for timeless, cosmopolitan style. He has been awarded four Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards, including a special award in 1995 for the groundbreaking documentary Unzipped. In December 2009, Mr. Mizrahi launched his lifestyle collection, ISAACMIZRAHILIVE! on QVC. In addition, television audiences have come to value Isaac’s media presence through his roles on Project Runway All Stars for Lifetime, The Fashion Show for Bravo and his own series for both Oxygen and the Style Network.

Isaac Mizrahi joins the likes of designers Mara Hoffman, Rebecca Minkoff, Vena Cava, Charlotte Ronson, Alexander Wang, Brian Reyes, Jeremy Scott, and Yigal Azrouël, who have all collaborated on collections for the condom brand. PROPER ATTIRE® has also collaborated for the past few years with the Keith Haring Foundation to feature his artwork in honor of World Aids Day. PROPER ATTIRE® condoms can be found at select hotels such as the Thompson Hotels and Morgans Hotel Group, as well as at cult fashion store Opening Ceremony and the Museum of Contemporary Art store in Los Angeles.

Not only fashionable, PROPER ATTIRE® condoms are also reliable and effective. The condoms are FDA-tested and undergo rigorous quality assurance testing by the manufacturer as well as by independent laboratories. With increased awareness about the spread of sexually transmitted infections, the practice of safer sex is of the utmost importance. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about one person in the U.S. contracts HIV every 10 minutes; by the age of 25, one in two sexually active people will have contracted a sexually transmitted infection; moreover, one in two Americans will contract a sexually transmitted infection at some point in their lives. And the U.S. has the highest teen pregnancy rate among the most developed countries in the world.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America created Proper Attire LLC and the PROPER ATTIRE® condom line to make women feel comfortable about carrying condoms by offering them stylish designs they’ll actually want to use. A trusted source for reproductive and sexual health care and information for nearly 100 years, Planned Parenthood affiliates operate more than 800 health centers nationwide. Planned Parenthood promotes a proactive approach to women’s health, encouraging each person to make informed and responsible decisions.

This spring don’t get caught without this season’s must have: PROPER ATTIRE® condoms by Isaac Mizrahi. They’re required for entry.
