Ashton Michael presented his collection in the Green Show – Eco Fashion Week – premier event exclusively committed to eco-friendly, ethically sound, fair-trade fashion, during New York fashion week.

Ashton Michael has a background in styling on television shows: American’s Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol. He worked with Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears and Panic At The Disco.

In this collection Ashton Michael Black Label Spring/ Summer 2011 Michael teamed with Seattle-based Rethink Sustainable Solution Group to create a fashion collection made from recycled PET, bamboo, cotton and coconut. Sounds weird but it turned out to be a great collection and you get to be eco friendly. Fashion at its best.

The inspiration for the show was Steven Patrick the 1980’s singer/songwriter. This is a fashion forward unisex vision with Japanese Rockability silhouettes and post apocalyptic style.

We loved Ashton Michael new fashion collection (we didn’t like some of the models).

The main colors of the collection were black and white for man and female, with un traditional cuts and a cool look. we use his garments for fashion editorials and this collection is one we can personally wear and would love to shoot for one of our projects.
