David Beckham For David Beckham Collection for H&M Underwear

David Beckham, The soccer star has teamed up with H&M to design a new line of bodywear that will launch in stores in February. The collaboration spent 18 months to develop the line, which the company says will focus on “fit, function, comfort and design.”

The debut collection will consist of nine underwear styles for men, as well as a variety of T-shirts, vests, pajama bottoms and long johns.

“The collection is a first in a longterm partnership with H&M, which will seasonally develop with new styles, new fabrics and new patterns which will all follow the quality-focused blueprint of David’s new classics”

“Working with a team has always been a key part of my life and I found that to be the same when developing this range,” Beckham said in a press release. “Collectively with my design team we spent time working on the feel, fit and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but one which I would be proud to put my name to.

“I always want to challenge myself and this was such a rewarding experience for me. I’m very happy with the end result and I hope H&M’s male customers will be as excited as I am.”

MAC Pants Men’s Collection Fall / Winter 2012

The 2012 Fall/Winter collection of German Luxury pant company MAC is focused on masculinity
and authenticity. The key themes of the collection are natural aesthetics, global style and pure
products. Materials such as luxurious wool, recyclable denim washed corduroys, and
grainy chinos are of the highest quality with a superior fit.
NATURAL AESTHETIC
This collection drew much of its inspiration from the love of nature. From the relaxed fit to the
natural earthy tones such as saffron, ochre and cranberry, the pants are fit for a man that
draws comfort from being in the outdoors. Shade-in -shade nuances complete the color palette.
GLOBAL STYLE
For more sophisticated pieces, MAC looked beyond the outdoorsman to the world traveler, a man
who takes in and appreciates global cultures. Intricate details such as leather applications,
piping and exquisite workmanship added to a color palate of cumin, brick and cedar reflect
the essence of exotic countries.
PURE PRODUCTS
To finish off the collection, MAC went back to the basics and focused on a “less is more”
approach. Colors of dusty blue and grani te combined with contrasting leather and espresso
tones help execute this motto for the FW ‘12 collection.
At the heart of all three inspirations this season are the carefully thought out materials,
characteristic of the MAC philosophy. In both denims and chinos, the masculine, pithy and
authentic look of the trousers is crucial.
Wool denims with dusty grey dyes, vintage denims and washed corduroys make up this
collection of pants, from relaxed casual to trendy, urban styles. Building on the idea of
sustainability, the collection also features recyclable denims, one quarter of which consists of
recycled yarn. In recycled denims, fabric remnants are shredded in an elaborate process and respun.
Tightly woven denim has a firm handfeel, while coated denim exudes and exquisite,
matte shine.
Slim chinos and tapered denims are prominent silhouettes; with a slightly looser fit between
the legs complete the ultra-casual look. Chevron pat terns and a range of autumn shades
with black weft stretch and cavalry twills make the collection look neat, without sacrificing comfort
and fit.
